Ignition Commutators
Ignition commutators with reservation are intended for operation in cars and trucks with carburetor engines in:
-non-contact ignition system with inductive transducers -13.3774-02 and 131.3774-02 commutators;
-non-contact ignition system with Hall-effect transducers - 12.3774-02 and 133.3774-02 comutators;
-contact and transistor ignition systems-132.3774-02 commutator.
The ignition commutators are used to switch the current in the primary circuit of the ignition coil.
The ignition commutators are constructed so that two independent switchboards are located inside one case. In comparison with ignition commutators of old types produced by our company these ones have additional set of terminals.
The advantage of ignition commutators with reservation is possibility of additional switchboard operation in case the main module is out of order. One should only switch between the additional set of terminals. More other these ignition commutators can be used for ignition system diagnostics through the second ignition switchboard which is in good order.
Commutators 12.3774-02 and 133.3774-02 raise spark formation energy. It makes engine start easier both at cold weather and when low quality fuel is used.
Automatic cutoff when the ignition is ON but the engine is not operating prevents commutators from overheating and getting out of order (except 13.3774-02 commutator).
For 12.3774-02 and 133.3774-02 commutators short-circuit of Hall-effect transducer to the “ground” of the automobile is not allowed. They prevent the Hall-effect transducer from overload.
The commutators are intended for operation in ground-return systems with negative contact connected to the car's frame.
The commutators should be used only when the battery is switched ON. They should be placed on the regular place with the help of regular splits and fasteners. Good contact of the ignition commutator with the car's frame should be provided.
The ignition commutators meet requirements of GOST R 52230-2004 certification.
Ignition commutators with diagnostic 133.3774-05 are intended for operation in cars and trucks with carburetor engines with Hall-effect transducers. They are used to switch the current in the primary circuit of the ignition coil 27.3705, 3122.3705, Б116 (and modifications) operating with inductive transducers 40.3706, 38.3706, 54.3706, 55.3706.
The ignition commutators may be used both in normally operation and emergency modes. The switch on the case is used to switch between modes.
Emergency mode (multispark) makes it possible to rehabilitate ignition system operation while driving in rain or on puddles, when Hall-effect transducer is out of order. It also serves for warming up and drying up of sparking plugs. Low load driving with speed less than 90 km/h is recommended while using emergency mode. At this mode commutator operation self-diagnostic is also possible.
Additional option of diagnostic at normally operation mode is possible. One can fix angle and adjust ignition leafs with the help of LED settled on the cover (red color).
Automatic cutoff when the ignition is switched ON but the engine is not operating prevents commutator from overheating and getting out of order.
